About the role

Distinctive Floor Coverings Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Commercial Flooring Installer to join our team in Coolaroo, VIC. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work on diverse commercial flooring projects across Melbourne and surrounding areas. In this role, you will be responsible for installing a wide range of flooring materials in commercial environments, ensuring quality workmanship and client satisfaction on every project. This position is integral to our operations, directly contributing to our reputation for excellence in the flooring industry.

What you'll be doing

• Installing commercial flooring materials including sheet vinyl, wall vinyl, White Rock & vinyl coving in various commercial settings

• Preparing and levelling subfloors to ensure optimal installation conditions

• Measuring, cutting and fitting flooring materials with precision to meet project specifications

• Using specialised tools and equipment safely and effectively throughout the installation process

• Inspecting completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and client expectations

• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations

• Troubleshooting and resolving installation issues to ensure successful project completion

• Transporting materials and equipment to job sites as required

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a commercial flooring installer

• Proficiency in installing multiple flooring types including sheet vinyl, wall vinyl, White Rock & vinyl coving

• Strong knowledge of subfloor preparation, levelling and moisture management

• Competency with hand and power tools used in flooring installation

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately

• A valid driver's licence and reliable transport to access various job sites

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship

• Strong communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with colleagues and clients

• White card, drivers licence, working with children's card and a current police check is a MUST

• Flexibility to work on different project schedules
