Immulab, part of the Paragon Care Group, is a leader in the manufacture and distribution of in-vitro diagnostics and equipment essential for blood banks and transplant labs across Australia and beyond. We are dedicated to enhancing the quality and reliability of healthcare through innovation and excellence.
We are looking for a skilled Manufacturing Technician to join our GMP manufacturing facility. This role will be crucial in supporting our expansion in contract manufacturing of reagent red cells and the production of monoclonal antibodies. The role will rotate through the various production areas including Processing and Formulations, Cell Culture and Fill and Finish. Any hands-on experience with bioreactors and mechanical systems will be highly valued.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment in line with SOPs and GMP.Participate in formulation and processing operations including media and diluent preparationParticipate in packaging operations – both manual and automated.Handle aseptic dispensing, sterile filtrations, gowning, and cleanroom activities.Prepare and sterilise equipment using autoclaves and hot air sterilisers.Perform in-process checks, product inspections, and material reconciliations.Operate and maintain stainless steel and single-use bioreactors for monoclonal antibody production.Manage lab inventory, including ordering and stocking chemicals and reagents.Contribute to manufacturing improvement projects and quality enhancements.Maintaining high safety standards.

Background in GMP-regulated environments is important.Previous experience in a pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated manufacturing environmentAbility to work independently with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Effective communication skills, both oral and written.Proven track record of achieving targets and managing time effectively under pressure.Good written and verbal communication skillsUnderstanding of GMP, OH&S and Quality SystemsBasic computer skills (SAP experience desirable)Attention to detail and the ability to follow batch documentation and SOPs preciselyFlexibility to work across shifts and adapt to multiple production tasksProgress toward a tertiary qualification in a science-related field is a bonus, but not essential
