The Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Assistant to join our team on the night shift at our manufacturing facility in Dingley Village, Victoria. As a Quality Control Assistant, you will play a crucial role in upholding our high standards of product quality and ensuring our operations run smoothly around the clock.

Key Responsibilities

• Be familiar with all company requirements of Quality, HACCP and Safety.

• Perform regular quality checks and tests on samples supplied from manufacturing areas.

•  Check, verify and sign off on all requirements of Quality Check lists from each process.

•  Maintain and file retain samples as required at each process point.

•  Maintain flow of process information to enable product traceability and identification.

•  Follow GMP in line with HACCP and food safety requirements and report any Hazards.

•  Develop and maintain Team work ethics amongst the QC department.

•  Ensure accuracy of calibration of equipment against calibration requirements.

•  Ensure Sampling and testing program is maintained.

 What We're Looking For

• Experience in quality assurance for extruding, printing, conversion, laminating, slitting and pouch making in the plastic packaging industry is highly desired. However Previous experience in a quality control or assurance role, preferably in a manufacturing environment will be considered.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and troubleshoot quality issues

• Proficient in data collection, analysis, and record-keeping

• Good communication and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently on the night shift

About the Role

• Working hours for this position are from 11pm to 7.30am Sunday night to Thursday night. Applicants may be requested to work other shifts if required.
