About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and organised Production Planning Assistant to join our team and support our Production Manager in coordinating daily production schedules. This is a junior role with full training provided, ideal for someone looking to start or grow a career in manufacturing, operations, or supply chain.

You’ll work closely with Production, Customer Service, Inventory, and Warehouse teams to help ensure customer orders are produced and dispatched on time while supporting smooth and efficient production operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day production planning activities to ensure customer orders are completed on time and internal KPIs are met.

  • Assist in developing, maintaining, and adjusting production schedules based on plant capacity, resource availability, and product specifications.

  • Coordinate job sequencing and production timeframes to meet customer dispatch deadlines.

  • Review production schedules and job requirements to ensure planned deadlines are achieved.

  • Communicate scheduling updates, constraints, and dispatch commitments with Customer Service, Production, Inventory, and Warehouse teams.

  • Work collaboratively with internal departments to maintain efficient workflow and respond quickly to changes.

  • Help resolve production planning issues and escalate complex matters to the Production Manager or Operations Manager when required.

  • Prepare and maintain production status updates and planning reports.

  • Maintain accurate planning and production documentation in line with company standards and timelines.

  • Provide general administrative and reporting support to the Production Manager and production team.
