The Opportunity
Reporting to the National Procurement Manager, this role is responsible for analytics of indirect spend, developing procurement category strategies and identifying cost reduction opportunities.
The role will co-ordinate execution of national procurement initiatives and contracts with stakeholders and will also provide procurement administration support.
Responsibilities
Map expenditure to determine supplier spend and category for indirect spend
Maintain National Contracts register and flag pending contract expiry,, to enable timely review
Present category plans and identify, research and develop cost reduction opportunities, execute national supply agreements and monitor compliance
Procurement administration, including supplier onboarding, procurement master data management and pricing updates
Develop and document procurement processes and measure compliance
Act as SAP Procurement Subject Matter Expert, providing support and training where required
Compile ESG reporting using business intelligence tools to support reporting requirements
About You
You are a procurement professional with 3 years+ experience in procurement and strategic sourcing. You act autonomously, take initiative and are able to develop and implement procurement strategies across multiple indirect categories. Your personal attributes include a strong work ethic, attentional to detail and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Our ideal candidate
Relevant tertiary qualification in supply chain or equivalent
Category management or Buyer experience, including experience with RFx processes
Strong negotiation, analytical, and commercial skills
Stakeholder management skills with the ability to lead, influence and implement sourcing plans that result in cost savings and process efficiencies
High level of attention to detail and strong follow up capability
Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities
Demonstrated proficiency with SAP HANA (or other ERP systems) and the MS Office suite
CIPS accreditation (desirable)
