$77,500 - $80,000 Annual

The role includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and fabrication specifications to determine welding and fabrication requirements for metal components.
  • Prepare, measure, cut, and shape metal materials using grinders, cutting torches, drills, and fabrication machinery in accordance with project specifications.
  • Perform MIG, TIG, and ARC welding to assemble, join, and repair steel structures, metal sections, and fabricated components.
  • Align and position fabricated parts using hand tools and measuring instruments prior to welding and assembly activities.
  • Operate and maintain welding and fabrication equipment to support production, repair, and maintenance works.
  • Inspect completed welds and fabricated components to ensure bead quality, penetration, dimensional accuracy, and structural integrity.
  • Clean, grind, and finish welded surfaces to achieve required quality and presentation standards.
  • Follow workplace health and safety procedures, safe work practices, and company operational standards across all welding and fabrication activities.

To be considered for this role, applicants must demonstrate:

  • AQF Certificate III (or higher) in Engineering Fabrication Trade (Welding) or related qualification.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience as a Welder.
  • Experience with MIG, TIG, and ARC welding techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and measurements.
  • Skilled in cutting, preparing, shaping, and assembling metal components.
  • Experience using fabrication machinery, grinders, and hand tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Understanding of workplace health and safety procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and meet deadlines.
  • Reliable, motivated, and passionate about the trade.
