AFW Technologies Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time Procedures Analyst to support the review, improvement and implementation of business and operational processes across the company.

The Procedures Analyst will work closely with management and operational staff to analyse current business methods, workflow systems and internal procedures. The role will focus on identifying inefficiencies, improving operational processes, supporting quality and environmental management systems, and contributing to continuous improvement across the business.

Key duties and responsibilities

 Review and analyse existing business processes, operational procedures and workflow systems within AFW Technologies’ fibre optic and micro-optic manufacturing and product supply operations.

 Analyse procedures relating to order processing, inventory coordination, technical product handling, dispatch activities, quality control and supplier/customer workflow.

 Undertake work studies by examining current and proposed business methods, operational records, reports, work instructions, procedure documents and job functions.

 Record and review workflow processes across product handling, stock movement, customer order requirements, supplier communication, quality checks and dispatch coordination.

 Identify inefficiencies, duplication, delays, gaps or risks in current operational procedures, particularly in relation to inventory control, documentation flow, product dispatch and quality processes.

 Prepare recommendations to revise business methods, improve workflows, update internal procedures and resolve operational or organisational issues.

 Assist management with implementing approved recommendations, including revised work instructions, updated procedure documents and improved workflow methods.

 Support the preparation, review and maintenance of procedure manuals, process documents, workflow guides, internal reports and operational documentation relevant to AFW Technologies’ fibre optic and micro-optic

product operations. 

 Review operating procedures and advise management where procedures, quality requirements, ISO9001 / ISO14001 related processes or company standards are not being followed.

 Assist with process improvement activities linked to technical product supply, documentation control, inventory coordination, dispatch efficiency, quality control and environmental management procedures.

 Liaise with management, operational staff, suppliers and relevant stakeholders to understand workflow requirements and ensure recommended improvements are practical and suitable for AFW Technologies’ operations.

 Prepare reports for management outlining workflow issues, process gaps, recommended improvements, revised procedures and implementation progress.

 Monitor the effectiveness of implemented process changes and recommend further improvements to business methods, workflow systems and operational procedures where required.

Skills and experience required

 Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Business Management, Industrial Management, Operations Management, Organisation Management, Accounting, Commerce or a closely related field.

 Minimum 12 months’ work experience in a related field, such as business process analysis, operations support, process improvement, workflow analysis, production coordination, quality systems support or compliance

support.

 Strong understanding of business operations, workflow review, process mapping and continuous improvement principles.

 Ability to analyse procedures, operational records, workflow documents and business reports.

 Strong written communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports, procedure documents, manuals and internal recommendations.

 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

 Ability to liaise with management and operational staff to implement practical process improvements.

 High attention to detail and ability to work in a technical product supply environment.

 Experience in manufacturing, technical product supply, fibre optic products, micro optic products, telecommunications products, technology supply, logistics, inventory coordination or a similar operational environment will be

highly regarded.

 Knowledge of ISO9001, ISO14001, Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, SOP development or process improvement methodologies will be highly regarded.
