At Godfrey Hirst, we currently have exciting full time permanent opportunities for experienced warehouse operators/forklift drivers to join our Laverton NDC.

Our Laverton NDC is the largest and most technologically advanced carpet warehouse in the Sothern Hemisphere. Holding more than 700,000 broadloom metres of carpet, we ship thousands of metres of expertly crafted Australian made carpet each day.

About the Role

Working in this fast-paced rolled carpet warehouse, on the day shift (6.00am to 2.00pm) Monday to Friday, you will be operating a high reach forklift with an RF system to accurately locate and pick rolls of carpet for despatch. Products will be moved in/out of racking, onto our cut-length machine, and into staging locations, which are then loaded into trucks for despatch. Operator rotation for different machines/plant equipment changes daily.

You will work as part of a team to achieve daily targets, ensuring products are shipped accurately, on time, and most importantly, safely.

Generous EBA conditions apply to successful candidates. These are fulltime, permanent ongoing positions, with overtime available.

About You

Successful candidates will have:

• A valid forklift license (LF and LO)

• Experience with forklift task management systems/RF units

• Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse

• High Reach Forklift experience extremely advantageous

• Forklift probe attachment experience (highly regarded but not essential)

• The ability to carry out the inherent requirements of the role

• Good written and verbal communication skills 

• A strong commitment to workplace safety and contributing to a Zero Harm culture
