Join the team that manufactures playground and recreation equipment used in schools, parks and communities across Australia.
Based in our Scoresby factory, this full-time role works across our Assembly, Ropes and CNC areas. You'll be involved in a variety of production tasks and provided with ongoing training and support to help you succeed.
Duties include:
Preparation of raw materials for production
Assembly of products using tools and equipment
Packing finished products and applying correct labelling
Conducting visual quality inspections to ensure products meet required standards
Reading, interpreting and following Work Orders and Standard Operating Procedures
Safe operation and respectful use of tools, equipment and machinery
Manual handling tasks, including lifting, pushing and pulling up to 20kg
Maintaining a clean and organised work area
Adhering to workplace health and safety requirements, including hazard identification and safe work practices
Supporting quality standards and production targets
Rotating between production areas and assisting the wider team as required
What we're looking for
We're seeking someone who is reliable, punctual and takes pride in producing quality work. You'll have good spoken and written English, a strong commitment to safety and the ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
You'll also have:
High attention to detail, including the ability to conduct visual inspections and differentiate between shades of colour
The ability to accurately use a tape measure to within +/- 1mm
Good manual handling skills and physical fitness
A willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different production tasks
Previous experience in manufacturing or assembly environments will be highly regarded, but is not essential.
For applicants interested in future progression opportunities, experience leading teams in a manufacturing environment will be advantageous. This may include coordinating workflow and labour allocation, running start-of-shift meetings, identifying training needs, maintaining production records, supporting continuous improvement initiatives and investigating quality issues.
