Position Summary
The Brand Marketing Manager is expected to act as a strategic leader within the organization, helping shape the future direction of the brand. The role requires a deep understanding of consumer behavior, market dynamics, and business objectives to drive sustainable brand growth and competitive advantage.
This role will be responsible for developing and executing brand strategies that drive awareness, consideration, preference, and sales across the Australian and New Zealand markets. This role will lead integrated marketing campaigns, brand partnerships, media and content initiatives, and consumer engagement programs that strengthen the brand's position and deliver commercial outcomes.
The Brand Marketing Manager will be a strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen, capable of translating consumer insights into impactful marketing initiatives while collaborating closely with sales, product, retail, media, PR, digital, and global headquarters teams.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Strategy & Planning
Develop and champion a clear long-term brand vision that aligns with business growth objectives and strengthens market leadership.
Develop and execute annual brand marketing plans aligned to business objectives.
Act as the internal custodian of the brand, influencing senior stakeholders and ensuring all business functions deliver a consistent brand experience across all touchpoints.
Drive long-term brand growth through consumer-centric marketing strategies.
Identify market trends, consumer insights, and competitive opportunities to strengthen brand relevance.
Challenge conventional thinking and introduce innovative marketing approaches that drive brand distinction and commercial outcomes.
Integrated Marketing Campaigns
Lead the planning and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns across paid, owned, and earned media.
Manage product launch campaigns from strategy through execution and post-campaign evaluation.
Collaborate with creative, media, PR, digital, and social agencies to deliver best-in-class campaigns.
Ensure campaigns effectively balance brand building with commercial performance objectives.
Consumer Insights & Market Intelligence
Analyze consumer research, brand tracking, and market data to identify opportunities for growth.
Monitor competitor activity and emerging industry trends.
Translate insights into actionable recommendations for brand and business strategy.
Partnerships & Sponsorships
Develop and manage strategic partnerships, sponsorships, influencer programs, and experiential marketing initiatives.
Maximize return on investment through innovative activations and audience engagement opportunities.
Build relationships with key external stakeholders, media partners, and industry organizations.
Public Relations & Communications
Collaborate with PR agencies to drive earned media outcomes.
Support corporate reputation management initiatives.
Develop compelling brand stories and communication platforms.
Oversee media events, product launches and brand experiences.
Build strong relationships with media, influencers and industry stakeholders.
Digital & Content Strategy
Work closely with digital marketing teams to ensure brand consistency across all channels.
Lead content strategies that drive engagement and consideration.
Oversee social media brand direction and content planning.
Ensure digital campaigns align with broader brand objectives.
Drive innovation in content creation and consumer engagement.
Agency & Stakeholder Management
Lead relationships with creative, media, PR, digital and experiential agencies.
Set clear objectives and performance expectations.
Ensure agency outputs meet strategic and commercial objectives.
Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders across all business functions.
Build strong relationships with global headquarters teams.
Financial Management
Manage annual brand marketing budgets and campaign investments.
Ensure marketing spend delivers measurable business outcomes and ROI.
Track campaign performance and optimize investment based on results.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Work closely with Marketing Teams, Sales, Product Management, E-commerce, Customer Experience, and Global Marketing teams.
Align local marketing initiatives with global brand strategy while ensuring local market relevance.
Lead agency partners and external suppliers to achieve agreed objectives.
Performance Measurement
Establish KPIs and reporting frameworks for all marketing activities.
Monitor brand health, campaign effectiveness, media performance, and sales impact.
Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
· Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related discipline.
· 3-5+ years' experience in brand marketing, preferably within consumer electronics, technology, FMCG, retail, or related industries.
· Proven experience managing integrated marketing campaigns with significant budgets.
· Strong understanding of media, digital marketing, content, social media, and PR.
· Experience working with global brands and regional headquarters
· Sponsorship, partnership, and experiential marketing experience
· Experience working with multiple agency partners.
· Excellent project management and stakeholder management skills.
· Strong analytical and commercial capabilities.
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
