HR Central is an energetic and fast-paced, client focused Company who deliver exceptional Human Resources, Employee Relations and Industrial relations guidance, support and software nationally. Established in 2015 and growing ever since, we are all about solving HR problems faced by small and medium sized businesses.

We tailor our approach to best suit the client’s desired outcome but adhere to best practice always. We have many tools at our disposal, including custom-built cloud-based HR software, support and advice via phone/email and the ability to handle HR projects including recruitment, training and Fair Work conciliations.

With a remote and hybrid team of operators servicing clients across Australia, we are seeking an HR Specialist to lead our Support team and ensure all client tickets are actioned accurately, communicated clearly, and resolved in a timely manner.

The Opportunity

As the leader of the HR team, you will drive seamless service delivery by ensuring all client matters are actioned promptly and accurately. You will support team members with complex enquiries, foster strong client relationships, and manage your own caseload with clarity and consistency.

The position is full-time and based on a hybrid model from our Camberwell office, with flexibility around days and hours to suit circumstances.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the HR Support Team to ensure all client matters are actioned accurately, prioritised effectively, and resolved within agreed timeframes.

  • Oversee daily workflow operations, monitoring task queues, allocating tasks, and maintaining visibility over workload to ensure consistent service delivery.

  • Provide escalation support for complex client enquiries, guiding team members and ensuring issues are resolved with clarity, professionalism, and sound HR/ER judgement.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by reviewing processes, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing enhancements that improve productivity, consistency, and client experience.

  • Leverage technology and data (including dashboards, workflow tools, and KPIs) to track performance, inform decision‑making, and enhance operational effectiveness.

  • Lead and deliver HR projects including planning, stakeholder coordination, implementation and execution.

Your Experience

We’re looking for a proactive leader who loves optimising workflows and enabling teams to perform at their best. You will be instrumental in driving smarter processes, faster turnaround times, and a seamless client experience.

  • Extensive knowledge of relevant workplace legislation including Fair Work Act, NES, WHS & EEO.

  • Business acumen and the ability to respond to clients commercially, pragmatically and in a timely manner.

  • Ability to build and develop fantastic working relationships both internally and externally.

  • A professional approach, discretion, and sound judgment.

  • Proven ability to lead and develop an HR team, balancing workflow demands with coaching and development.
