Kitchen Innovations (KI) has been designing and manufacturing kitchens in Victoria since 1994, and now Queensland since 2025. Operating from our 9-acre Campbellfield site in Victoria, we deliver complete kitchen solutions including cabinetry, stone benchtops, and glass splashbacks to major builders and renovators.

We are seeking a technical and software-capable Stone Operations Manager to lead and optimise the day-to-day operations of this critical division.

About the Role

The Stone Operations Manager balances the hands-on CNC programming that turns drawings and template jobs into reality, assisting the operators when the screen isn't behaving, and overseeing team performance.

Working closely with the CEO, this role will lead the Stone Division while supporting the transition of the current Stone Operations Manager into another area of the business, ensuring continuity, stability, and ongoing operational improvement.

Key Responsibilities
Operations & Production
  • Oversee day-to-day production, logistics, and quality across the Stone Division

  • Plan and adjust schedules to hit deadlines and meet builder demand

  • Develop and refine SOPs to lock in consistency and efficiency

  • Drive continuous improvement on yield, throughput, and cycle time

Team Leadership
  • Lead supervisors, machine operators, and production staff

  • Coach, train, and performance-manage your team

  • Build a culture that's collaborative, accountable, and safety-first

Quality, Supply Chain & Commercials
  • Own quality control end-to-end — inspections, audits, defect resolution

  • Coordinate with stone suppliers on slab supply, lead times, and pricing

  • Manage division budget, forecasting, and KPIs

  • Identify cost savings and waste reduction opportunities

Health & Safety Requirements (Silica Control)

  • This role involves work with materials that may generate respirable crystalline silica (RCS)

  • Candidates must be willing and able to wear respiratory protective equipment (RPE) and PPE at all times in designated areas

  • Ability to comply with strict safety procedures, including wet cutting methods and dust suppression systems

  • Dry processing, compressed air and dry sweeping are prohibited on site

  • Must be able to follow all safe work procedures, training and supervision requirements

  • Participation in training, inductions, toolbox talks and health monitoring is required

  • Respirators must be correctly fitted, maintained and worn in accordance with site requirements (including clean-shaven requirements for tight-fitting masks where applicable)

About You
  • Demonstrated experience programming CAD/CAM software for stone, joinery, or similar CNC manufacturing

  • Hands-on experience with CNC stone fabrication machinery (saws, waterjets, edge polishers, or similar)

  • Minimum 5-8 years of stone industry operations management experience is required

  • Operations management experience must be specifically within the stone industry

  • Strong leadership and team management capability

  • Experience with production planning, supply chain, and quality systems

  • Solid understanding of workplace safety, ideally within stone or construction materials

  • Commercial awareness with the ability to manage budgets and performance
