About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Operations Officer to join our team within the Chief Finance Office.
Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, the Finance Operations Officer plays a key role in delivering accurate, efficient and high-quality financial services across the organisation. The position supports a broad range of finance functions, including financial accounting, reporting, accounts payable and receivable, while ensuring compliance with accounting standards, legislation, and organisational policies.
You will contribute to the preparation of statutory and management reports, provide financial support and advice to Council staff, and assist with the financial management of the Ferntree Gully Cemetery Trust. This includes supporting the preparation of annual financial statements, management reports and statutory returns, while helping drive continuous improvement across finance processes and systems.
This is a full time temporary role based at Knox Civic Centre. We support flexible working arrangements while ensuring operational needs of the role are met.
This is a Band 5 classified role. Remuneration will be $80,377.95 to $93,517.76 (depending on experience) (pro-rata for part time) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.
