Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and oversee our Altona operations.

About the Role

Reporting directly to senior management, the Operations Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the Altona depot, ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of transport, warehouse, and customer service functions.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a strong operational background, excellent people management skills, and the ability to drive performance, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all depot operations, including transport, warehousing, and customer service activities.

• Ensure operational efficiency and achievement of service delivery KPIs.

• Manage labour resources, fleet utilisation, and workforce planning.

• Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with WHS requirements.

• Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

• Manage employee performance, coaching, development, and disciplinary processes where required.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legislative requirements

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Previous experience in a Transport, Logistics, Warehousing, or Supply Chain management position.

• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.

• Strong knowledge of transport operations and warehouse management.

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Experience managing operational KPIs and service performance.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• High level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.

• Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.

Highly Regarded

• Experience within the sensitive freight, white-glove delivery, or specialised logistics sector.

• Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations.

• Experience with transport management systems and warehouse management systems.

• Certificate IV or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Management.
