The Karralyka Centre is the premier theatre and function centre in Melbourne's eastern suburbs, and we now have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic hospitality professional to become our Facilities supervisor. 

The Facilities Supervisor reports directly to the Operations Manager and works collaboratively with the Venue Manager. They are responsible for overseeing the front-of-house facility operations of the centre.

As a Facility Supervisor, you will oversee set up and break down of function rooms involving the moving and setting of furniture, dance floor and staging to requirements of Functions department and client’s needs, and ensure highest standers maintained in overall venue appearance.

You will:

• Supervise, support and lead the Facility team
• Supervise and control Facility Operations to consistently meet high standards as defined by Karralyka Standards
• Effectively manage the interactions between the front and back of house to ensure a professional experience is delivered for all functions
• Handle all client enquiries in an appropriate and professional manner

You will need:

• Previous experience in a Food & Beverage, Facility operation Team Leader or Supervisory role advantageous
• Ability to demonstrate delegation skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• The ability to build relationships and develop rapport
• Sound problem solving and complaint handling skills
• Flexibility to respond quickly and positively to a range of work situations
• A passion for developing others to be part of a winning team
• Ability to work a 7 day rotating roster
• A valid RSA Certificate
• A valid working with children’s check
