The Company

We are a well-established and highly respected property owner, developer, and asset manager with a diverse portfolio spanning commercial, industrial, hospitality, office, and residential sectors.

Through a commitment to excellence, innovation, and delivering outstanding outcomes, we have built a strong reputation for end-to-end property solutions, exceptional project delivery, and strategic asset management.

Our extensive and growing portfolio comprises a broad range of high-quality assets, reflecting our long-term investment approach and proven track record across multiple property sectors.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Property & Commercial Lawyer with approximately 5 years' Post Admission Experience (PAE) to provide legal advice and support across a diverse portfolio of property, leasing, construction, insurance, and commercial matters.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Draft, review, negotiate and advise on retail, commercial and industrial leasing agreements, including lease renewals, assignments, variations, licences and related documentation.
  • Manage property acquisitions and disposals, including conveyancing matters, due diligence investigations and settlement processes.
  • Provide advice on land tax assessments, exemptions, objections and reviews, including liaising with government authorities and external advisors where required.
  • Draft, negotiate and advise on construction and development agreements, including building contracts, consultant agreements, project delivery arrangements and related procurement documentation.
  • Advise on property development projects, planning considerations and associated legal risks.
  • Review and advise on insurance policies, coverage issues, claims management and contractual insurance obligations.
  • Provide legal support on commercial contracts and general business transactions relevant to property and operational activities.
  • Identify, assess and mitigate legal and commercial risks while providing practical and commercially sound solutions.
  • Manage disputes and claims relating to property, leasing, construction and insurance matters, including instructing and overseeing external legal counsel where required.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external advisors.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory development impacting property, construction, leasing and insurance matters.

The Benefits

  • Innovative and active market leader with extensive exposure across all asset classes.
  • Supportive management team and outstanding team culture.
  • Enormous scope for career progression.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex legal transactions, providing strategic advice to stakeholders, and ensuring legal compliance across a range of property and commercial activities.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD).
  • Current Australian practising certificate.
  • Approximately 5 years Post Admission Experience (PAE).
  • Experience gained within a reputable law firm and/or in-house legal environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in property law, conveyancing and leasing.
  • Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
