FOOD TECHNOLOGIST/ QUALITY ASSURANCE

Our food manufacturing company has been established for over thirty-five years and has an excellent reputation for its innovation and quality within the foodservice industry. We produce an extensive variety of meals and desserts that are sold through healthcare and aged care.

The position is part time: 2 days a week. Days and hours are flexible.

We are looking for a person who has expertise with food labelling requirements and has experience using the Foodworks program.

The successful applicant will also-

* Possess relevant food industry qualifications and experience.

*Have thorough knowledge of HACCP and be experienced in HACCP procedures.

*Drive GMP improvement and overall QA improvement.

*Train and advise staff in maintaining quality standards and systems.

*Have experience and be up to date with all food labelling requirements and nutritional information.  Knowledge of the Foodworks Program would be an advantage.

*Develop and maintain product specifications including calculating nutritional information.

*Have sound analytical and problem-solving skills.

*Be 'hands-on' and be able to work well with minimum supervision in a multi-task environment.

*Be able to relate to staff and customers on all levels.

*Have experience with third party audits.
