Strong industry partnerships support all 400 hours of Professional Experience Placement within a single health organisation, building clinical capability, confidence, and strong employment outcomes across nursing and allied health.Holmesglen’s nursing laboratories are dynamic, practice-based environments that support high-quality clinical learning. We’re seeking a Laboratory Coordinator to lead the day-to-day operations of these facilities, ensuring they are safe, well-equipped and run to an exceptional standard. As a Laboratory Coordinator, you will:Oversee daily operations of nursing laboratories, including preparation, setup and technical support for all practice-based classes.Manage equipment, consumables, maintenance and safe handling/disposal of clinical, chemical and biological materials.Maintain laboratory documentation, inventories and audit-ready processes aligned with the Holmesglen Management System.Ensure all facilities meet Workplace Health & Safety, Child Safety and compliance requirements.Contribute to staff recruitment, induction and mentoring, and collaborate with academic leaders on resource planning and budgeting. To be successful, you’ll have:Relevant nursing qualification (or equivalent laboratory experience) and strong knowledge of clinical equipment and safe handling practices.Experience managing practice-based teaching or clinical laboratory environments with a focus on safety, compliance and operational efficiency.Strong organisational and administrative capability, with the ability to prioritise, problem-solve and manage competing demands.Technical proficiency to support staff and students, maintain equipment and use relevant systems and documentation tools.Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively, ethically and inclusively within a diverse team.WWCC and Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Victorian ‘employee’ Working with Children Check, and a valid Police Check within the last 12 months. A Valid Victorian driver’s licence is required for this role.
