About the Role

We are seeking applications for a Laboratory Technician to join our modern, NATA-accredited laboratory in Croydon South, Melbourne. This role involves preparing, analysing samples and requires a versatile individual who can adapt to various tasks and work across multiple teams. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory processes.

Responsibilities

  • Sample Preparation & Analysis: Prepare and analyse samples, ensuring tests are conducted within the required processing time.
  • Quality Control: Follow all quality control protocols to maintain high standards.
  • Safety: Comply with laboratory safety procedures and proper PPE usage.
  • Documentation: Complete all documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organised workspace through regular housekeeping.

About You

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree in Science with a Chemistry major is preferred
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to maintain competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive, 'can-do' attitude
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable
