The opportunity
We're working exclusively with a fast-growing employment technology business to place their first sales hire. Our client sits at the intersection of digital recruitment media and regional employer markets — a space with genuine unmet demand and a product that opens doors.
This is an outbound-first role built for someone who thrives on prospecting, loves a conversation, and wants a clear path to running full deal cycles. You'll be selling recruitment advertising solutions to employers and recruitment agencies, backed by one of Australia's largest regional media networks.

What you'll be doing
- Building and working a target account list across priority regional markets
- Executing high-volume outbound via phone, email, and LinkedIn
- Booking and running discovery calls with HR managers, GMs, and recruitment agency principals
- Progressing warm and inbound leads toward close, with a clear path to full-cycle ownership over time
- Working closely with the founding team to refine messaging and sharpen the ICP
What we're looking for - 1–3 years in an SDR, BDR, or outbound sales role — you can prospect, handle objections, and book meetings consistently
- Comfortable on the phone — this is a calling role, not just a LinkedIn DM role
- Ambitious to progress: you want to own and close deals, not just feed a pipeline
- A clear communicator who can adapt your pitch across different buyer types
- Background in HRtech, recruitment, media, or SaaS is advantageous but not essential
- Based in Melbourne or planning to relocate to Melbourne CBD

Remuneration
Competitive base salary plus commissions, with a monthly bonus and incentive structure that rewards both activity and deal size. Full details provided to shortlisted candidates.
