 About the Opportunity

 An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to support the People and Culture team for a short term contract.

 This position will act as the organisation's subject matter expert for employee and industrial relations matters, providing advice and support to leaders across a broad range of workplace issues.

 The position will play a key role in case managing employee relations matters, supporting workplace investigations, leading performance and conduct processes, and ensuring compliance with relevant employment legislation, enterprise agreements and industrial instruments.

 Day-to-Day Responsibilities

 Provide expert advice to leaders on employee relations matters.

  • Manage workplace investigations, complaints and grievances.

  • Lead and support performance management and disciplinary processes.

  • Provide advice regarding misconduct, serious misconduct and employment risk matters.

  • Support managers through consultation, meetings and disciplinary management activities.

  • Interpret and apply enterprise agreements, modern awards and employment legislation.

  • Manage union-related matters and support constructive union engagement.

  • Prepare employment-related correspondence, reports and documentation.

  • Support Fair Work Commission and other external employment-related matters as required.

  • Identify and mitigate employee relations risks across the organisation.

About You

 To be successful in this position, you will have:

 Demonstrated experience in a dedicated Employee Relations, Industrial Relations or Workplace Relations position.

  • Strong knowledge of the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, enterprise agreements and modern awards.

  • Experience working within unionised workforce environments.

  • Proven experience managing complex performance, conduct and disciplinary matters.

  • Experience conducting or supporting workplace investigations.

  • Strong case management and stakeholder management skills.

  • Excellent written communication and report-writing capability.

  • Ability to influence, coach and support leaders through challenging workplace matters.

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Employment Relations, Law or a related discipline (desirable).
