Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical maintenance, servicing and repairs on cars and light commercial vehicles
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using workshop manuals and diagnostic equipment
• Perform routine safety and performance inspections
• Replace, repair or adjust automotive components (brakes, engines, suspension, transmissions, etc.)
• Conduct test drives as required to ensure vehicle safety and performance
• Maintain accurate service records and job cards
• Comply with workplace health and safety procedures at all times
• Communicate with customers and provide clear explanations of work performed

Skills and Experience Required

• Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology (or equivalent) OR
• Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a Motor Mechanic in an automotive repair environment
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair mechanical faults
• Strong knowledge of workshop practices, tools and safety standards
• Valid driver’s licence (Australian or equivalent International DL)
