Our steel frames at Nexus Steel are engineered for quality, efficiency and durability. The steel structures are suitable for industrial and civil construction. We specialize in client-specific designs, generated on our customized software and welding, fabrication of the steel products that are undertaken in our factory then delivered, installed, and supervised on the construction site.

 

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Welder to join our team of professionals collaborated to provide best of welding, fabrication and steel services to clients. Your duties will include:

  • Reading blueprints and drawings and taking measurements to plan layout and procedures
  • Determining the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
  • Setting up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements)
  • Analyse defective equipment and identify appropriate defective equipment and inform supervisors
  • Manage work with help of manual welding machines and melt metals for various processes
  • Monitor all welding processes and ensure absence of any shrinkage and distortion to materials
  • Manage welding work and ensure compliance to all specifications to perform defect work
  • Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws
  • Replace new and fabricate parts fir dump trucks and trailers
  • Ensure clean weld joint to obtain smooth look
  • Maintain disc grinder and perform all cleaning and grinding of metals
  • Operate various manual and automated welding equipment for welding work
  • Analyse speed and length of welding arc for all welding process
  • Perform machine-to-machine material handling
  • Produce metal products based on client and project requirements
  • Repair metal structures of different sizes
  • Assemble all components with help of power and hand tools
  • Keep records and maintain inventory of the parts
  • Maintain a neat clean work area
  • Observe safety reports and regulations
  • Provide guidance and training to others as required

 

Skills and experience:

  • You must be fully qualified holding relevant AQF certification – at least CIII and/or above
  • You must have proven experience as a Welder for atleast One year
  • Proficient approach from start to end of projects

 

This position is a full-time (38 hours per week, minimum) salary range between $70,000 - $80,000 plus superannuation. To be considered for this position, please apply now by submitting your resume with your detailed Welding skills and experience.
