Are you an expert in electronic device repairs with years of hands-on experience in diagnostics, micro soldering, and advanced fault analysis? Do you have the skills to lead repair operations and resolve complex technical issues across a wide range of digital gadgets? If so, we want you to bring your senior expertise to our head office repair team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain and repair electronic communication systems, data transmission equipment, and associated control systems.
  • Examine and test electronic machines, instruments, control systems and telecommunications equipment to diagnose faults using specialised diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
  • Commission and configure electronic equipment including CCTV systems, security systems, alarm systems, audiovisual systems, and structured cabling networks.
  • Apply knowledge of electrical, electronic and mechanical principles to troubleshoot and rectify faults in electronic transmission and control systems.
  • Adjust, repair and replace defective wiring, circuit boards, modules, and electronic components in accordance with technical specifications.
  • Install, terminate and test data cables, fibre optic cables, conduits and associated hardware.
  • Reassemble, test operate and calibrate equipment following maintenance or repair to ensure compliance with operational standards.
  • Interpret technical diagrams, wiring schematics, circuit layouts and manufacturer manuals to carry out installations and repairs.
  • Advise clients on correct operation, maintenance procedures and preventative measures to minimise system malfunctions.
  • Monitor system performance and conduct routine inspections to ensure optimal functionality of electronic equipment and control systems.
  • Supervise junior technicians and provide technical guidance on complex installations and fault-finding procedures.
  • Maintain accurate service reports, compliance documentation and technical records in accordance with industry regulations.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Certificate III or higher in Electronics and Communications, Telecommunications Technology, or equivalent trade qualification.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of full-time experience in installation, commissioning and maintenance of electronic equipment or telecommunications systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in:
  • Electronic fault diagnosis
  • Control systems maintenance
  • Structured cabling and data transmission systems
  • Installation of security and surveillance systems
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Knowledge of WHS compliance and electrical safety standards.
  • Ability to independently conduct onsite installations and troubleshooting.
  • Supervisory capability appropriate for a senior-level trade position.
