About the Role We are seeking a skilled and experienced Printing Machinist to join our production team. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining offset and/or flexographic printing machinery used in the manufacture of printed packaging components. The position plays a key role in ensuring consistent print quality, efficient workflow and timely delivery of customer orders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Set up and operate multi-colour offset and/or flexographic printing presses.

2. Install plates, rollers and cylinders, and accurately adjust ink, water balance and registration.

3. Monitor print quality and carry out corrective adjustments to ensure consistency.

4. Conduct routine machine cleaning, lubrication and minor maintenance.

5. Identify and troubleshoot printing and mechanical issues to minimise downtime.

6. Manage inks, coatings, substrates and other materials required for scheduled production.

7. Complete production records, machine settings and output documentation.

8. Work collaboratively with production, engineering, maintenance and quality teams.

9. Follow WHS procedures and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience operating commercial offset or flexographic printing machinery is essential.

• Strong understanding of colour control, ink management and machine calibration.

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to carry out basic maintenance tasks.

• Ability to interpret production sheets and technical instructions.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to meeting quality standards.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
