About the Role: GTB Auto Works Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and reliable Motor Mechanic to join our team. As a Motor Mechanic with us, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring customer safety and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform vehicle inspections to identify mechanical faults and ensure compliance with safety standards, issuing certificates where applicable or advising on required repairs.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues relating to engines and other vehicle components using manual and computerized diagnostic equipment.
• Dismantle and inspect engine assemblies, transmissions, steering systems, and related mechanical parts to determine repair requirements.
• Repair or replace damaged and worn components, ensuring correct reassembly in accordance with manufacturer specifications and service manuals.
• Test, adjust, and fine-tune mechanical components following repairs to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Carry out scheduled maintenance services, including oil changes, lubrication, and vehicle tune-ups.
• Provide customers with clear advice regarding work completed, overall vehicle condition, and future maintenance or repair needs.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times to maintain a safe working environment.
• Keep up to date with developments and emerging technologies in the automotive repair industry and apply improved techniques to enhance service quality and efficiency.

Requirements:

• Certificate IV in Automotive with a minimum of 1 years of relevant experience
• Strong diagnostic skills and ability to troubleshoot effectively.
• Understanding of automotive workshop processes. 
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
