Operations & Maintenance Manager

Location: Melbourne – Northern Suburbs
Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 + Super (depending on experience)
Work Type: Full Time | Monday–Friday

We’re looking for an experienced Operations & Maintenance Manager to lead and streamline maintenance coordination, trades scheduling, and operational workflows across multiple service teams.

This role is ideal for someone with a background in property services, trades coordination, facilities management, or compliance-driven operations who enjoys leading teams, improving systems, and ensuring high service standards.

You will play a key role in managing job workflows, coordinating internal teams, improving processes, and ensuring service delivery targets are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee maintenance requests, quoting processes, and job approvals

  • Coordinate with internal trades teams and contractors to schedule and deliver services efficiently

  • Handle urgent and escalated maintenance issues, ensuring rapid and effective resolution

  • Monitor job progress, service milestones, and operational performance metrics

  • Lead and coordinate the operations support team, ensuring accountability and task alignment

  • Facilitate weekly operations meetings to review workloads, service performance, and priorities

  • Identify process improvements and workflow efficiencies across operations

  • Provide reports, operational insights, and performance updates to leadership

  • Maintain strong relationships with property managers, renters, contractors, and internal teams

Skills & Experience

  • 3–5+ years’ experience in operations, maintenance coordination, or service delivery management

  • Experience in property management, trades services, facilities management, or compliance industries

  • Strong team leadership and stakeholder management skills

  • Excellent organisation, multitasking, and problem-solving ability

  • Experience with job management systems, scheduling tools, or service tracking platforms

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • A proactive and solutions-focused mindset
