Production Bakery | New Climate‑Controlled Facility (Caulfield North/Braeside – Opening in 3 Months)
This is not an entry-level baking role.
Are you questioning where your next pathway to career growth will be?
Look no further because this is it, this is your opportunity to grow with a serious, expanding bakery operation.
This is for someone who knows their craft, works clean, thinks ahead, and doesn’t cut corners.
At Baker Bleu, we bake real bread — long‑fermented sourdough, dark crusts, strong structure, done properly and consistently. If you care about quality more than shortcuts, read on.
Baker Bleu started in 2016 with a simple goal:
Bring real bread back.
Since then, we’ve grown to five locations across two states, producing long‑fermentation sourdough using traditional methods, modern equipment, and disciplined processes. Growth hasn’t lowered our standards — it’s raised them.
In approximately three months, our production team will move into a brand‑new, purpose‑built, climate‑controlled production facility in Braeside.
Designed specifically for bread production, this site will offer:
Stable temperature and humidity control
Improved layouts and workflows
Modern equipment
A cleaner, calmer, more professional working environment
This move is about consistency, quality, and doing things properly — and we’re building the right team now.
We’re looking for a Day Shift Baker to join our production team on the 5am start.
This is a hands‑on role for someone who wants to build real skill and work with a wide range of products, including sourdough loaves, challah, bagels, baguettes, ficelles, and more.
Availability for a 5am day shift is essential.
Your work will include:
Mixing, shaping, and baking doughs to Baker Bleu standards
Producing and preparing dough and loaves for scheduled bakes
Working with the team to hit daily production and quality targets
Assisting with set‑up, pack‑down, and cleaning
Operating equipment safely and responsibly
Following established processes — consistency matters here
You’re someone who:
Takes pride in learning the craft properly
Respects ingredients, equipment, and process
Wants to improve your skills, not just get through a shift
Is consistent, efficient, and reliable
Works well as part of a production team
Minimum 1 year commercial baking experience (essential)
Learn real sourdough and artisan bread at production scale
Join a growing business moving into a new, climate‑controlled facility in Braeside
Strong focus on training and development
Supportive team with high standards
Staff discounts and long‑term growth opportunities
We expect a lot — and give a lot in return
If you’re serious about baking and want to grow with a business investing in its future, we’d like to hear from you.
