About the Role
KRISH AND NAKSH PTY LTD T/A Pramukh Automobiles is currently seeking an experienced and qualified Motor Mechanic (General) to join our growing team located in Clyde North, VIC 3978. The successful applicant will be responsible for carrying out diagnostics, repairs, servicing, and maintenance of a wide range of light vehicles in accordance with industry standards.
Position: Motor Mechanic
Salary: $82,000 plus Superannuation
Hours: 38 hours per week
Employment Type: Full Time

Experience and Qualification Requirements:
Applicants must hold a Certificate III or higher qualification in Automotive Mechanical Technology or a related field, along with a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience as a Motor Mechanic.

Task & responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Detect and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in petrol engines and vehicle components using diagnostic equipment and testing instruments.
- Repair and maintain engines, transmissions, suspension systems, steering mechanisms, brakes, and other mechanical assemblies.
- Dismantle and inspect engine assemblies, transmissions, and other vehicle components to identify faults, wear, and damage.
- Replace defective or worn mechanical parts and reassemble vehicle components in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
- Carry out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance, including oil changes, lubrication, engine tune-ups, and fluid checks.
- Test and adjust repaired systems and components to ensure vehicles operate safely and efficiently.
- Use computer-based diagnostic tools and service manuals to identify and resolve mechanical issues.
- Conduct vehicle inspections to assess roadworthiness and identify repair requirements to meet compliance and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate service records and ensure all work is completed in line with workplace safety procedures and automotive industry standards.
Qualification & experience
Skills and Qualifications:
- Relevant qualification in Automotive Mechanical Technology or related trade qualification.
- Strong knowledge of automotive mechanical and electrical systems.
- Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing light vehicles.
- Ability to use modern diagnostic tools and workshop equipment.
- Understanding of vehicle safety standards, pollution regulations, and roadworthy requirements.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to workplace safety.
