As a Motor Mechanic, you will be responsible for carrying out vehicle inspections, diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults, and performing repairs and maintenance on engines, brakes, suspension systems, steering systems, tyres, and other vehicle components. You will conduct routine servicing, wheel alignments, tyre fitting, balancing, battery testing, and mechanical repairs while ensuring all work is completed efficiently and according to manufacturer specifications and workplace safety standards. The role also involves maintaining workshop equipment, recording service and repair information, communicating with customers regarding vehicle issues when required, and supporting the overall operational success of the workshop.

About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our professional automotive team. In this role, you will be responsible for these tasks and responsibilities:

Tasks and Responsibilities
1.Identifying and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues in engines and vehicle components.
2.Taking apart and removing engine systems, gearboxes, steering assemblies, and other parts for inspection and assessment.
3.Repairing or replacing damaged and worn components, then reassembling mechanical systems while consulting service manuals when required.
4.Carrying out routine maintenance services such as oil replacements, lubrication, and engine tuning to improve vehicle performance and meet emission standards.
5.Rebuilding and reinstalling engines and related parts after repairs are completed.
6.Inspecting, testing, and fine-tuning repaired mechanical components to ensure correct operation and efficiency.
7.Using computerized diagnostic equipment to identify faults and test vehicle components.
8.Conducting vehicle inspections and issuing roadworthiness certificates or outlining repairs needed to meet safety standards.
9.Providing roadside assistance and responding to vehicle breakdown call-outs.

Qualifications and Experience
AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training
Or AQF Certificate IV
