The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out diagnostic, repair and maintenance work on a wide range of motor vehicles, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard.

Eclipse Automotive is seeking a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic (General) to join our growing automotive workshop in Brisbane. We specialise in servicing and repairing late model vehicles using modern diagnostic equipment and quality parts.

Task & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment
• Repairing and replacing defective engine and mechanical components
• Carrying out scheduled servicing including oil changes, lubrications and tune-ups
• Removing and refitting engine assemblies, transmissions, steering and suspension components
• Testing and adjusting repaired systems of lightweight vehicle to ensure proper performance
• Conducting inspections and identifying additional repair requirements where necessary
• Maintaining accurate service records and following manufacturer specifications
• Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety procedures

Qualification & experience

Skills and Experience Required

• Relevant qualification equivalent to AQF Certificate III or higher in Automotive Mechanical Technology
• Minimum 1 years of relevant work experience 
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Experience working on late model vehicles
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Valid driver licence (preferred)
