Spectrum Pro Painting is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Painter to join our growing team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality painting and decorating services across residential and commercial projects while maintaining excellent workmanship and safety standards.

Task & responsibilities

• Setting up scaffolding, ladders, and protective coverings to ensure safe access and prevent paint damage to surrounding areas.
• Preparing surfaces for painting by stripping old paint or wallpaper, repairing timber surfaces, filling cracks and holes, and sanding and sealing finishes.
• Mixing and preparing paints and coatings to achieve the required colour consistency and finish.
• Applying paints, stains, and varnishes using brushes, rollers, and spray-painting equipment.
• Installing and aligning wallpaper and decorative wall coverings, including pattern matching and edge finishing.
• Maintaining cleanliness of tools, equipment, and workspaces throughout and after project completion.
• Carrying out minor window repairs and replacing glass in timber or metal window frames when required.

Qualification & experience

• Relevant qualification or Cert III in Painting and Decorating or a related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant work experience in painting and decorating.
• Experience with residential and commercial painting projects.
• Knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation, and spray-painting methods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and time-management skills.
