OIA Global is seeking an experienced and hands-on Yard Manager to lead operations at a large vehicle yard supporting a key automotive customer. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a high-volume vehicle operation, overseeing the daily receipt, storage, preservation and dispatch of new vehicles while leading both yard and administration teams.

Reporting to the Contract Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end site operations, driving safety and quality standards, coordinating vehicle movements, optimising yard layout and workflow, and ensuring customer expectations are consistently met. You will play a key role in building a high-performing team and supporting the successful operation of a major automotive logistics site.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing daily site operations, including vehicle receipting, storage, preservation, inventory control and dispatch

  • Leading and supporting the Yard Team Leader and Administration team

  • Overseeing high-volume vehicle movements with a focus on accuracy, efficiency and damage prevention

  • Coordinating with transport providers, customers and internal stakeholders

  • Monitoring operational performance, site costs and KPIs

  • Driving a strong safety-first culture across all site activities

  • Conducting site inspections, risk assessments and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements

  • Coaching, developing and managing team performance


About you:
You will bring proven experience in site, yard, warehouse or operations management, ideally within logistics, automotive, transport or another high-volume operational environment. You will be a confident leader with strong organisational, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills, and you will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on site environment.

Experience in automotive logistics, vehicle processing, yard management, transport scheduling or inventory control will be highly regarded.
