Are you a motivated and reliable individual looking for a career in the Horticulture Industry? MEGT has a fantastic opportunity with one of our clients for an Apprentice in West Footscray.

About the role:

This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to develop practical skills and gain hands-on experience. Your duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Carry out planting, pruning, weeding, and mulching to maintain attractive and healthy garden beds.
  • Operate landscaping equipment to mow, edge, and fertilise public lawns, sports fields, and reserves.
  • Identify and assist with the treatment of plant diseases, pests, and invasive weeds to support healthy green spaces.
  • Help keep parks, playgrounds, and public areas clean and safe by removing litter, debris, and sharps.

What we're looking for - Skills & Experience

  • Reliable, motivated, and safety-focused, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A genuine interest in horticulture, outdoor work, and maintaining public parks and gardens to a high standard.
