About Access Automation:

At Access Automation, we specialize in the installation, repair, and maintenance of premium automatic door systems across diverse commercial and industrial settings. We pride ourselves on a supportive culture where our team is treated with genuine respect and valued as individuals.

About the Role:

As an Automatic Door Service Technician, you will be the face of our company. This is a dynamic, autonomous road-based role servicing our high-profile commercial and industrial clients all over Melbourne. While our main office is based in Hallam, your day will be spent out on the road. You will work alongside a supportive field team and report directly to the Service Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance & Service: Execute scheduled preventative maintenance on diverse automatic door systems.

  • Rapid Response: Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair urgent reactive equipment breakdowns on-site.

  • Installation: Commission new automatic door systems and advanced electronic safety components.

  • Client Engagement: Advise clients on technical solutions and deliver elite customer service.

  • Administration & Safety: Log accurate service data into our mobile CRM and uphold strict safety standards.

Skills and Experience:

  • Full Licence Required: A full Australian Driver's Licence is mandatory for this position.

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant technical, trade, or field service experience.

  • Technical Aptitude: Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

  • Highly Regarded: Prior door industry experience or formal trades (Electrical, Glazing, Fabricating, Mechanical).

  • Communication: Exceptional customer service skills and a clear communication style.

  • Work Rights: Australian permanent residency is required for this position.

Benefits and Culture:

  • Attractive Pay: Earn a competitive hourly rate plus superannuation.

  • Genuine Work-Life Balance: Flexible arrangements to ensure work fits your life.

  • Full Training Provided: We value cross-industry technical skills and will fully train the right person.

  • Variety & Autonomy: Manage your day on the road with total autonomy and no two days being the same.
