About the Role
We are hiring for our prominent logistics client to deliver effective and compliant security services within a high-volume logistics environment, ensuring the protection of people, assets, and supply chain integrity, with a focus on access control, screening, patrols, and proactive risk identification in line with site SOPs and client expectations.
Shift Timings: 4 on 4 off Rotational Day and Night Shift
Job Location: Mickleham, VIC
Pay rate: SSIA Level 3
Key Responsibilities:

Gatehouse & Access Control: Manage gatehouse operations controlling entry and exit of vehicles, staff, and visitors; verify delivery documentation, manifests, and driver identification; maintain accurate gatehouse logs and access records; enforce site access protocols, including contractor and visitor induction compliance

Screening & Loss Prevention: Conduct personnel and vehicle screening in line with site procedures; monitor and prevent unauthorised removal of goods or assets; perform random audits and checks of vehicles, freight, and personnel; escalate suspected theft, shrinkage, or irregular activity

Patrols (Vehicle & Foot): Conduct scheduled and ad-hoc patrols across warehouse, perimeter, and external areas; perform perimeter checks including fencing, gates, and access points; identify and report security, safety, or operational risks; ensure patrol compliance with required frequencies and reporting standards

CCTV & System Monitoring: Monitor CCTV and alarm systems to identify incidents or abnormal activity; investigate alarms and escalate as required; support incident review through footage retrieval and reporting

Incident Response & Reporting: Respond to incidents including security breaches, emergencies, and WHS events; follow escalation protocols and communicate with stakeholders; complete accurate and detailed incident and daily activity reports; preserve evidence where required

Logistics Environment Awareness: Operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-traffic warehouse environment; understand freight movement, vehicle flows, and loading dock operations; support chain-of-custody integrity and site security controls; work collaboratively with operations teams without impacting productivity

Compliance & SOP Adherence: Follow all site-specific SOPs, post orders, and client procedures; maintain compliance with SSIA, licensing, and company standards; participate in audits, toolbox talks, and ongoing training; ensure patrol and operational standards meet audit and contractual requirements
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Valid VIC Security Licence
- Experience in logistics, warehouse, or distribution centre security
- Experience in gatehouse operations and screening procedures
- Ability to pass background checks and site-specific clearances
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in gatehouse operations and access control
- Personnel and vehicle screening experience
- Vehicle and foot patrols experience
- Background in logistics or supply chain security environments
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to manage high volumes of vehicle and personnel movement
- Clear communication and report writing skills
- Competency using CCTV and access control systems
