Madina Halal Meats Pty Ltd ATF Madina Halal Meats Unit Trust is a growing, family-owned business with over 30 years of experience serving Melbourne’s diverse community. We specialise in premium quality meats, poultry, and smallgoods, supplying both retail and wholesale clients across more than 150 suburbs.

We operate retail stores in Brunswick, Hoppers Crossing, Gladstone Park Shopping Centre, and Sunshine Marketplace, along with a newly established distribution and manufacturing centre, producing high-quality smallgoods for gourmet delis, supermarkets, wholesalers, and the public.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an Experienced Butcher to join our busy Hoppers Crossing Store, as well as another new store which is to come.

The opportunity:

We are looking for a self-motivated, qualified Butcher to join our growing team. We are looking for someone who can commence work immediately.

The main tasks of the position include:

• Breaking down carcasses and grinding/molding into primary and secondary cuts for display or as per customer order;

• Processing meat using knives, cleavers, saws and other machinery/equipment;

• Preparing cuts for weighing, packing and sale or further processing;

• Selecting and processing meat to manufacture small goods and other associated products;

• Preparing, crumbing, marinating and curing meat-based products and meat derivatives;

• Displaying cuts at meat counter and offering expert advice to customers on meat selection and usage; and

• Ensuring work areas are clean and compliant with all food safety and hygiene standards.

About you:

We are looking for a candidate who has proven skills and experience when it comes to working as a Butcher.

The successful candidate will have:

• Qualifications as a Butcher (minimum Certificate III in a relevant field);

• At least 2 years of work experience in the retail meat industry;

• Current drivers license;

• Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices;

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; and

• Strong communication skills.
