About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Service Supervisor/Technician to join and lead, our Service Team located at our Australian Head Office, based in Scoresby.

An empathetic and clear communicator, the successful applicant will have an electrical/mechanical background with experience supervising the repair of corded and cordless power tools or similar, a strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, an ability to problem-solve, and an aptitude for management and supervision.

You will be computer literate and exhibit strong interpersonal skills and a friendly telephone manner.

Able to supervise a small team, you will exhibit the desire and ability to efficiently and effectively manage both your own time and that of your team, working toward shared KPI's and thriving in a team environment.

A restricted electrical license or appliance electrical testing licence is preferred. Experience repairing nail guns and with using Microsoft Word and Excel will be an advantage.

Reporting to the Head of Product, you will be responsible for:

· Supervising the Service Team

· Accurate database entry of incoming warranty and repair job details

· Disassembly and fault diagnosis in cordless and electric power tools

· Assessment and approval of warranty claims and issuing repair quotes

· Delivery of quality, tested repairs in an efficient and timely manner

· Coordination of repair jobs, from beginning to end

· Arranging pick-ups, tracking, and following up outstanding repairs with both internal stakeholders (departments) and external stakeholders (delivery booking agent, repair agents, end-users etc.), and resolving obstacles to ensure efficient processing and high customer satisfaction

· Providing excellent technical and service support to internal and external customers, including our extended service agent network

· Management of spare parts inventory

· Feedback of any product or service concerns to the Service Team in Germany

· Identifying any necessary training or improvements for service staff or agents and providing relevant information as required

· Professional, service related, electronic, telephone and face-to-face communication with internal and external customers

· Occasional re-work, including plug and cable changes

· Working as an enthusiastic team member towards Service Department and overall organisational objectives
