HVAC COMMERCIAL TECHNICIAN | Field-Based

Refrigeration Equipment Supplier

National equipment supplier specialising in commissioning + servicing of commercial refrigeration and HVAC products. We're expanding our field team and need a hands-on Commercial Technician for service work on the road.

The Role

This is a field technician position servicing the Melbourne metro and regional areas. You'll be out on the road servicing clients at commercial and Industrial sites. Day-to-day work includes preventative maintenance, breakdowns, and repairs.

Travel requirements include coverage within a 50-100km radius for regional work assignments. On average once a month. Vast majority is metro

You'll service:

1. Refrigeration items - cool rooms, display cabinets, freezers-20%

2. Chillers & Heat Pumps,compressor alginments -30% approx

3. General Repairs where needed such as motor bearings & V Belt replacement etc 50% approx

What you'll need:

1. Refrigerant Handling Licence/ARCtick* - minimum requirement

2. Restricted Electrical Licence - minimum requirement

3. Trade qualified in Refrigeration

4. Minimum 5+ years of refrigeration trade experience required. Consideration will be given if you have less , if you can demonstrate expertise & proficiency and attitude to learn. This may requird traveling to Brisbane and Sydney for training.

4. Good fault-finding skills + customer service mindset

5. Upbeat and able to communicate with team members and clients professionaly

What's on offer:

1. $55 - $70 per hour + super* based on experience + chiller exposure

2. Extensive chiller experience is required for optimal remunerationmbut again, if only moderate exposure so far but can demonstrate a stong attidude to learn and preapred to travel in the first 6 months for training then you will be favourably considered.

2. Company vehicle + fuel card provided - take it home

3. Ongoing training + OEM support on chillers/VRV systems and other HVAC equipment.

4. Stable national company with commercial/industrial client base

5. Opportunity to travel to Europe and Asia for training on new product releases when applicable

*Location: Based in Melbourne suburbs or Melton Geelong areas. Field work across metro + surrounding areas.
