LINK Community and Transport is seeking a reliable and motivated Garden and Home Maintenance Officer to join our growing team. In this rewarding role, you will help older people and people with disability maintain safe, tidy, and enjoyable homes and gardens, supporting them to live independently in their community.

About the Role 

Based from our Thomastown office, you will provide a range of garden and home maintenance services to clients across Melbourne. This is a hands-on role that combines practical maintenance work with meaningful client interaction. 

You will be responsible for: 

  • Lawn mowing, pruning, weeding and general garden maintenance 

  • Basic home maintenance tasks 

  • Delivering services safely, efficiently and to a high standard 

  • Providing exceptional customer service to clients 

  • Maintaining tools and equipment 

  • Communicating service updates and changes with office staff 

  • Following all workplace health and safety requirements 

About You 

You are someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in your work and genuinely enjoys helping others. You are reliable, organised and able to work independently while remaining part of a supportive team. 

To be successful, you will have: 

  • Previous experience in garden and/or home maintenance (preferred) 

  • Strong time management and organisational skills 

  • Good communication and customer service skills 

  • The ability to work effectively within a team environment 

  • A commitment to safety and quality service delivery 

Essential Requirements 

  • Current Working With Children Check 

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check 

  • National Police Check 

  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate 

  • Completion of NDIS mandatory training 

  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including lifting, bending, kneeling and working outdoors in varying weather conditions 

  • Current driver's licence

Hours and Location 

  • Monday to Friday, generally between 7:30am and 3:30pm 

  • Based at our Thomastown office 

  • Additional hours may be available based on operational requirements
