About the role:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Chassis Engineer to join the Premcar Team.

This role is a key technical resource within the team, responsible for the development and releasing of Engineering (chassis) commodities. This includes technical design, supplier management, testing and report writing, PPAP oversight and change management.

We are looking for experience in multiple areas, so please only apply if you are an experienced automotive engineer in the following areas.

Skills & Experience:

• Degree in automotive engineering or a related discipline is essential

• At least 2 years of automotive engineering project management exposure is essential

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Experience in an automotive marketing environment (highly regarded)

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities

Education, Skills & Experience:

• Engineering Degree

• Engineering experience of 10 years

• Experience working within OEM Gateway-style project management system

• Sound knowledge of the PPAP process

• Essential – engineering experience in the technical design of at least one of the below commodities:

  •    Tyre

  •    Wheel

  •    Coil spring

  •    Leaf spring

  •    Damper

  • Bump stop

• Desirable – experience in the below areas:

  •    Finite element analysis (Hyperworks, ANSYS)

  •    ADAMS Car, kinematic suspension design

  •    Vehicle dynamics knowledge, ride and handling evaluations

  •    Welding and sheetmetal design

  •    Basic CAD ability with CATIA V5

  •    APQP
