Task & responsibilities

Tasks & responsibilities 

• Engage with clients to understand their preferences and provide tailored haircut and styling recommendations 

• Deliver a full range of men’s haircuts using scissors, clippers and razors, including skin fades, tapers and precision cuts 

• Carry out beard and moustache grooming, including shaping, razor line-ups and full shaving services 

• Apply appropriate styling products and finishing techniques to achieve the desired result 

• Perform scalp care and hair preparation services, including shampooing, as required 

• Advise clients on suitable grooming products and at-home maintenance routines 

• Adhere to strict hygiene standards, including the cleaning and sterilisation of tools and workstations after each client 

• Handle appointment scheduling and provide a high standard of customer service throughout each visit 

• Support a cohesive and professional shop environment by working effectively with all team members 

Qualification & experience

Qualifications & experience 

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on barbering experience in a barbershop or hair salon environment 

• Australian trade qualification (Certificate III or higher in Barbering/Hairdressing) preferred 

• Demonstrated proficiency in both classic and contemporary barbering techniques 

• A customer-focused approach with a reliable and professional work ethic 

• Proven ability to collaborate within a team and contribute to a positive workplace culture
