About the Organisation; 

Our client is an internationally respected provider of trade specific education, technical knowledge, and essential skills training. As they enter a dynamic phase of growth and innovation, this newly created position offers the opportunity to join a collaborative, forward‑thinking team where your impact will be immediate and highly visible. 

Supported by an experienced senior leadership group, you will play a pivotal role in expanding the organisation’s footprint across OEMs & corporate entities, commercial trade workshops, industry partners, and key educational institutions. 

The Opportunity; 

We are seeking a proactive, influential Business Development Manager to lead sales and growth initiatives across Victoria, with national expansion to follow. Working remotely and reporting to senior leadership, you will manage key accounts, strengthen industry relationships, and act as a strategic link between members, partners, and the General Manager. 

Key Responsibilities; 

  • Membership Growth — Enhance and broaden membership offerings across all tiers, identify new growth pathways, and re-engage lapsed corporate members 

  • Partnership Development — Build new alliances and strategic partnerships across the industry 

  • Business Acquisition — Work with prospective clients to develop opportunities from concept through to close 

  • Industry Engagement — Deliver information and knowledge sessions to current and potential partners 

  • OEM Collaboration — Partner with OEMs on training delivery, network audits, and compliance with quality standards 

  • Continuous Improvement — Analyse member feedback to guide course development and industry‑aligned improvements 

 What You’ll Bring;

  • Relationship Building — Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders 

Qualifications; 

  • Trade qualifications in Automotive Body Repair or Spray Painting are highly desirable but not essential 

  • Proficiency in MS Office is essential; CRM experience is advantageous.
