About the Role

Securecorp is seeking an experienced and reliable Part-Time Relief Security Officer / Control Room Operator to join our team at one of Melbourne's busiest retail centres in the south-east suburbs.

This role is ideal for security professionals who have strong retail security experience, control room expertise, and the ability to work confidently both independently and as part of a team.

The successful applicant will provide relief coverage across the site's Control Room and Senior Security Officer positions as required.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and security presence throughout the centre
  • Monitor and operate CCTV systems, alarms, and security systems
  • Conduct patrols and maintain a safe and secure environment
  • Respond to incidents, emergencies, and alarm activations
  • Assess and manage security risks and potential threats
  • Manage access control and contractor movements
  • Complete incident reports, logs, and relevant documentation accurately
  • Liaise with retailers, centre management, contractors, and emergency services when required

 

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Current Victorian Security Licence with Control Room Endorsement (essential)
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Demonstrated experience in a retail security environment
  • Previous Control Room experience
  • Strong communication and report-writing skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
  • A proactive approach to security and customer service
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently

 

Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, is essential.
