RM Air Services is looking for an experienced HVAC Site Supervisor / Leading Hand to join our growing team.

We're a Melbourne-based mechanical services contractor delivering commercial and Boutique residential HVAC projects across a range of sectors including office fit-outs, retail, warehouses, healthcare, multi-residential developments, and boutique builds. With a strong pipeline of work and continued growth, we're looking for someone who can take ownership on site, lead by example, and help us deliver quality projects safely and efficiently.

This is a hands-on role. We're not looking for someone who wants to sit in a site office all day—we need a leader who's willing to get involved, support the team, solve problems, and keep projects moving.

The Role

Working closely with our Project Managers, you'll be responsible for coordinating and supervising commercial HVAC installations across Melbourne.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising day-to-day site activities

• Leading installation crews, apprentices, and subcontractors

• Coordinating labour, materials, and site resources

• Reading and interpreting mechanical services drawings

• Ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification

• Conducting toolbox talks and maintaining site compliance

• Liaising with builders, clients, consultants, and other trades

• Monitoring quality, progress, and project milestones

• Assisting with commissioning, testing, and project handovers

What We're Looking For

• Certificate III in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration or a Licensed Mechanical Plumber

• Current ARCtick Refrigerant Handling Licence (where applicable)

• White Card

• Current Driver's Licence

• Strong experience delivering commercial HVAC projects

• Previous experience as a Leading Hand, Foreman, Supervisor, or Senior Installer

• Ability to lead teams and coordinate multiple trades on site

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• Solid understanding of site safety and quality requirements

• Reliable, proactive, and willing to take ownership of outcomes

Highly Regarded

• Commercial fit-out and refurbishment experience

• Mechanical services project experience

• Experience with commissioning and air/water balancing

• Working at Heights, EWP, or Confined Space tickets
