We are professional mechanics specialized in Mechanical and Electrical repairs that cover all aspects of vehicle upkeep for your convenience. We have a team of skilled and certified technicians and are looking for a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanics to join the team of professionals within Mobis Mechanical, Keysborough Victoria.
We are looking for mechanics with a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with the ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle issues. Your duties will include, but not limited to:
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and electronic components within vehicles
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems and recommend appropriate solutions
- The removal and dismantling of mechanical components including (but not limited to) transmissions, engine assemblies and steering mechanisms and completing a thorough inspection of the components
- Completing required repair work to mechanical components, or where necessary undertaking the replacement of parts in accordance with relevant service manuals
- Conduct periodic service and maintenance including oil change, safety checks, tyre repairs and fluid flushing
- Reassembly of mechanical components post repair and conducting relevant tests to ensure the component is fully operational then making any necessary adjustments and re-testing if required
- Performance of regular vehicle maintenance services including the replacement of vehicle fluids such as oil, engine tune-ups or lubricants ensuring the vehicles run effectively
- Becoming an effective user of specialist machinery designed for exhaust system repair and customisation of exhaust system parts
- Maintain the safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Contribute to team effort by working with others to achieve results as needed
- Communicate effectively with customers to relay necessary vital information about services provided and repairs required
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and troubleshoot complex automotive issues.
Skills and Qualifications
- At least one year of relevant experience
- Minimum of AQF Trade Certificate III, IV or Diploma
- Self-motivated and keen to learn
- Excellent diagnostic skills and familiarity with diagnostic equipment.
- Good communication skills
- Energetic and hardworking
- Ability to share information well and contribute to the ongoing improvement of processes
Remuneration will align with the skills and experience displayed by the successful candidate. This position is a Full-time (38 hours per week, minimum) salary range $75,000 to $85,000 plus Superannuation.
